We thank Andrade for his critical comments on our article titled, “To 'P' or not to 'P', that is the question: A narrative review on P value.”[1] Andrade has explicitly brought out the fallacy of strict dichotomization of the P value.[2] He has also simplified the correct interpretation of the P value by giving an example. He has clearly explained that the problem is not the arbitrary selection of a fixed P value or its derivation, but rather the correct interpretation of this critical statistical tool. Moreover, he has also touched upon the role of the confidence interval in relation to the P value, which spontaneously comes to mind while dealing with the fallacies of the P value. Pertinently, in this issue of Cancer Research, Statistics and Treatment, we already have an article on the confidence interval and its interpretation.[3]
